East Africa Affairs, Principal Secretary, chairs his 1stEAC Coordination Committee Meeting since being deployed to the Department. Kenya was also represented by the Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Principal Secretary as well as the Industrialization, Principal Secretary who were instrumental in charting a way forward that will unlock the impasse in the negotiations.

East Africa Affairs, Principal Secretary witnessed the signing of the report for the Emergency Extraordinary SCTIFI meeting by heads of delegations from Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.

The Council meeting was attended by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Trade,Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina C. Mohammed, CBS, CAV;Ministry of Industrialization and Enterprise Development, Cabinet Secretary, Adan A. Mohammed from Kenya and Minister of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, Hon Amelia Kyambadde from the Republic of Uganda.
